{"id":26,"date":"2017-06-14T22:45:41","date_gmt":"2017-06-14T22:45:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orsnz.org.nz\/conf56\/?page_id=26"},"modified":"2025-10-30T21:24:27","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T21:24:27","slug":"prizes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/orsnz.org.nz\/conf57\/prizes\/","title":{"rendered":"Prizes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"header\">\n<h3>ORSNZ Young Practitioners\u2019 Prize (YPP)<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p>OR practitioners and students who are within 5 years of graduation on the first day of the conference (20 November 2025) are invited to compete for $1000 of prizes in the ORSNZ Young Practitioners\u2019 Prize competition.\u00a0 There will be two prize categories: <strong>paper and presentation<\/strong>. When submitting their abstract for the conference, competitors should indicate that they wish to be considered for one or both of the YPP prize categories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Presentations should follow the guidelines for presentations outlined on the <a href=\"https:\/\/orsnz.org.nz\/conf57\/abstract-submission\/\">Abstract Submission page<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Papers should be a maximum of 10 pages (not including references).\u00a0 Refer to the paper <a href=\"http:\/\/orsnz.org.nz\/conf57\/abstract-submission\/#ORPapers\">guidelines<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Papers in the correct format, must be submitted to conference AT THE orsnz.org.nz by the <a href=\"https:\/\/orsnz.org.nz\/conf57\/key-dates\/\">stated deadline<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>YPP papers and presentations can be co-authored as long as the main author has YPP status. Multiple authors with YPP status can enter their paper jointly.<\/li>\n<li>Entrants must abide by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orsnz.org.nz\/orsnzprizes\/#YPP\">YPP Prize rules,<\/a> which include submitting a completed YPP coversheet to the organisers prior to the conference. George Memorial Prize (JAG)<\/h3>\n<p>Conference delegates may also optionally have their presentations considered for the <a href=\"https:\/\/orsnz.org.nz\/orsnzprizes#JAG\">JAG prize<\/a>. This prize is awarded annually for the best application of OR for improving lives.
