Despite being over 70 years old and used all over the world, commercial software providers have enjoyed no competition from Open-Source until very recently.
Born from the need for research tools, AequilibraE has evolved into a competitive alternative to commercial software, despite the modest investments it receives. The quickly growing adoption of the software by research institutions, government entities and private companies validates the need for an Open-Source solution in the field and the design decisions made so far.
From high-performance algorithmic solutions to carefully crafted documentation and concerns with DevOps, this talk will retrace the steps that ensured AequilibraE’s success and the most important algorithmic components behind the software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the programme you will also be able to see which of the presentations are being considered for one of the conference prizes<\/a>, the Young Practitioner Prize (YPP) or the John A.
