Abstract Submission
We welcome presentations on any aspect of statistics, operations research, analytics or management science, especially practical applications. Submissions from students and practitioners are greatly encouraged. Abstracts should be 200 words or fewer and are to be submitted as plain text (not a PDF file) through EasyChair. If you have an EasyChair account, even if it was for another conference, please login with your username and password. In case you don’t have an EasyChair account, please follow the instructions to sign up for an account. Please do not email abstracts to the conference organisers. Oral presentations will be 20 minutes in length (15 + 5 for questions). All abstracts will be considered by the conference committee, and the authors notified of their acceptance or otherwise.
On your submission, in addition to the usual descriptive key words, please indicate the following in the keyword field:
– whether your abstract is best aligned with Operations Research (ORSNZ) or Statistics (NZSA)
– whether your abstract is for an oral presentation (ORAL) or a poster presentation (POSTER)
– whether you intend to enter the ORSNZ Young Practitioners Prize (YPP) or the NZSA Student Prize (NZSAStudent).
Notification of abstract acceptance or otherwise may take between 2-4 weeks. If you require confirmation of abstract acceptance before early bird registration closes, you should submit your abstract by 14th October 2016.
Guidelines for Preparation of OR, Analytics and Management Science Papers
Traditionally, the ORSNZ have published proceedings of their conferences. Therefore, we give you the option to submit (through EasyChair) a paper of at most 12 pages. Guidelines for preparation of the final papers are available for both Word and Latex. Please download the Word Guidelines Document if you want to prepare your paper using Word. A PDF version of the Guidelines Document is available to those who plan to use a different word processor. For Latex users we have prepared a style file and sample document. It is in this Latex Guidelines archive, which includes the necessary style files. Please refer to the README.txt file for installation instructions. You may prefer a simpler Latex guidelines file PaperGuide.tex which does not require installing any style files.
